Choosing a Dreampod
What is a Dreampod float tank/pod? +–
A Dreampod float tank holds a shallow solution of water and Epsom salt so you can float without effort. It’s also known as a sensory deprivation tank. We offer models for homes and commercial float centers, with different sizes, shapes, filtration capacities, features, and in-pod controls.
Which Dreampod is right for me? +–
The best choice depends on your space, how often the tank will be used, and the experience you want. Home Float models are popular for residential use, but many home buyers choose the V2 or Vmax for their size and features. The Sport, V2, Vmax, Cabin, and Open Float Pool also serve commercial facilities. Share your plans with us, and we’ll help you compare them.
Can I install a V2 or Vmax float tank at home? +–
Yes. Many customers choose a V2 or Vmax for their home. Before ordering, check the room layout, delivery access, electrical supply, equipment access, and the floor’s capacity for the filled tank. Send us your floor plan and installation location, and we can help you plan the setup.
What inspired the design of Dreampod float tanks? +–
We wanted a float tank that feels welcoming, including to someone floating for the first time. The shape, interior space, and controls are designed to make entering, floating, and getting out feel comfortable and straightforward.
What components do Dreampod float tanks use? +–
We select components for their performance and suitability for each model. If your project requires a particular component specification or certification, contact us before ordering.
Are all Dreampod float tanks automated? +–
Yes. Every Dreampod float tank has a thermostat, an automatic session system, and an automatic filtration system. The models differ in size, filtration capacity, features, and in-pod controls. Operators still need to test the water and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.
Orders
How long will production take to produce my order of Dreampods? +–
Production for the Dreampod will be a maximum of 60 days. We will expedite shipping earlier if we are able to. In some cases, we can manufacture the Dreampod within 45 days. We plan to hold stock in the future, which will cut down the production time to a fraction.
For U.S customers you might be able to receive your DreamPod in as short as just 7 days if shipped from our Utah Warehouse. Financing Options available also!
How much space do I need for my Dreampods? +–
The Dreampod pods are available in different sizes and shapes to accommodate various spaces. Our flagship V2 float tank, for instance, can fit in a 10′ by 14′ area. If you need more details about room setup and compatibility, please reach out to us using our inquiry form. We’ll be happy to assist you further.
Planning your space
How much room do I need for a commercial Dreampod? +–
We recommend planning a room of approximately 10 × 14 ft (3 × 4 m) for any of our commercial pods, including a shower in the room. This is a starting point for the tank, filtration equipment, and access around them. A smaller room may work for a particular layout, but we should review its floor plan before confirming a fit.
Does the shower need to be in the same room? +–
We strongly recommend a shower in the float room for a convenient guest experience. If your layout places it elsewhere, share the floor plan with us so we can discuss how guests will move between the shower and tank.
Do I need space for equipment outside the tank? +–
Yes. Plan for the filtration or engine box, its connections, and access for routine service. The best location depends on the model and room layout. A tank fitting through the door and onto the floor is only part of a successful room plan.
Can you check whether a tank will fit my room? +–
Yes. Send us the room’s length, width, ceiling height, doorway dimensions, and a floor plan showing the door swing, shower, and fixed obstacles. We can review the proposed tank position and equipment access with you.
Can a Dreampod be installed upstairs? +–
That depends on the building. A filled float tank holds both water and a substantial amount of salt, so its total weight and how that weight is distributed matter. Have a qualified structural professional assess the proposed location before installation. We can provide model-specific weight and footprint information for that review.
What are the basic electrical and network requirements? +–
The V2, Vmax, Cabin, and Open Float Pool always require a 220 V single-phase electrical supply and a wired connection to a router. The Home Float and Sport models use 110 V in the U.S. Have a qualified electrician prepare the correct supply before delivery.
Support
What is the maintenance of the tank like? +–
It is very easy to clean around the motors and the pods. For the pump, just remove the engine box, and clean around the components with a damp cloth, soaked in warm water. Besides for this, you will need to change a filter bag once or twice per month, depending on how busy the Dreampod is. You will also need to add salt once per month, again, depending on how busy that tank is. Other than that, regular morning maintenance of wiping the tank down and getting it ready for business.
If something breaks down, how would I go about getting parts for repairs? And how long could I expect the pod to be shut down for? +–
It is important to note, we are the manufacturers. We are the direct link to the Dreampod, so there are no middle men involved in getting components. All parts would be sent with in 24 hours. Our trouble shooting team is available 24/7.
Do I need help with the initial setup? If so, would you or one of your employees come out to help with that? Would transportation/accommodations for this be an extra cost I would incur? +–
Remote installation and assembly instructions for the pods can be provided. A Dreampod technician will arrange for a video conference to provide you with a comprehensive overview of the assembly instructions.Once the pod is assembled, we will have a second video call to configure the software and conduct a thorough systems check. After the pod(s) has been checked, the technician will provide you with detailed training on the maintenance and operation of your pod(s). You will also receive the necessary documents and checklists to ensure the process is properly completed.Having our technician come over for assembly is also an option.
